Contextually relevant is a term that refers to initiatives or actions that are tailored and specifically responsive to current social and political conditions. Alnoor Ladha, founder of The Rules, defines it as "the understanding that true power lies in the ability to design and implement innovative approaches to social and economic change that are explicitly responsive to the particularities of a given context or situation, while also being connected to broader networks of grassroots impact". Ladha further argues that contextually relevant initiatives must be responsive to both local and global dynamics in order to maximize their effectiveness.
